Press Release Spring 2023
Spring Newsletter
We brought our 2022 season to a close by performing two Christmas concerts.
We are delighted to say they were a huge success! We had a full house for the two concerts on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th December, in the beautiful surrounds of the Boys’ Chapel at Clongowes Wood College, Clane.
We are extremely grateful to our very supportive audience and the Friends of Millicent Singers.
The audience enjoyed our programme of Christmas carols and the beautiful singing by our guest artist Leah Barniville. They showed their appreciation by giving us a standing ovation at the end of both concerts.
The 2023 season has already started and we are very pleased to announce three new projects for the choir.
CD Recording
We are working very hard right now and are focusing our energy to finalise our CD project which we started in 2019.
It was put on hold because of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020.
We have planned extra rehearsals to supplement our usual Monday rehearsals, to ensure we produce the best sound possible for this exciting challenge.
The recording will take place on the 11th and 12th March in the Boys’ Chapel, Clongowes Wood College. It will be a very busy, intense and hopefully a productive weekend.
New Ross Choral Festival
Once our CD recording is completed, we will turn our attention to the New Ross Choral Festival.
We will travel to Co.Wexford to participate in this festival which takes place on 21st May.
This will be a new experience for many of our members.
Summer Concert
We plan to perform our summer concert at the end of May.
More information will be available on this event as soon as the details are finalised.
