We are a fun, social choir and make some really good music!

You don’t need to be able to read music – we provide professionally sung line parts via Dropbox and What’s App to make learning easy.
Are you aged between 18 and 28?
We provide Free Membership for 18 – 28 year olds and for all students (over 18) in full time education! We run this membership scheme to encourage young adults to get involved in choral singing.
This scheme provides the following:
Year 1: Membership is free (no charge for music, membership fee, stand, accommodation)
Year 2: membership 50% off
Year 3: membership 25% off
The same scale applies to rehearsal weekends/workshops/accommodation for competitions etc. where overnight accommodation is unavoidable.

We hold very informal auditions, which are really just a quick chat with our musical director and a choir member to get to know you a little bit – followed by a quick sing through a song of your choice so our director can figure out if you’re a soprano, alto, tenor or bass.
Some people overthink the audition and get all worked up over it. We try to be nice, and know how daunting it can be. Give it a go! What’s the worst that could happen?!
Membership fees are €200 per year, including all music and line parts.

About Millicent Singers
Founded in 1996, Millicent Singers is a four-part adult choir based in the Clane area of Kildare. Attracting members from Clane, Prosperous, Allenwood, Naas, Celbridge, Maynooth, Robertstown, Kill, Longwood in Meath and other parts of County Kildare, we have a membership of around 40.
We rehearse on Monday evenings from September to May in Curryhills House, Clane Road, Prosperous.
